Kids Belong is a network of foster and adoptive parents, which means we are happy to be your local connection to all things foster and adoption related.  When you are considering getting involved in foster care, there are some questions that it is easier to ask of other foster parents, and we are happy to connect with you and help answer what questions that we can.

Your first step to becoming a foster or adoptive parent is to connect with a licensing agency, so if you have not connected with one yet you should do so soon.  There are questions you will want to ask your prospective licensor about their requirements and the process of getting licensed.  Typically you will attend an orientation meeting, then you fill out a formal application, and then you are assigned a licensor who will guide you through the rest of the process which will involve interviews and home visits.
